Cloisonne Enamel Box with Lotus Decor Ching-t'ai period (A.D. 1450-1456) Ming Dynasty Diameter of mouth 12.4cm The lid and body of this bronze-based box are cast with a pattern of eight lotus petals in low relief, each decorated with sprays of lotus flowers of different colors. The flat lid is decorated with a lotus heart. The interior of the box is gilded, with the Ching-t'ai reign-mark incised at the center.
